Lead Microsoft Strategist at DEFEND

Jono Green has a diverse work experience history spanning over a decade. Jono started their career in the hospitality industry, working as a Duty Manager at Barworks hospitality from February 2008 to July 2011. In this role, they managed bar staff and operated a bar and restaurant while adhering to liquor laws.

Following this, Jono transitioned to the IT industry, starting as an IT Consultant and Microsoft Cloud Evangelist at SECURECOM LIMITED from September 2016 to May 2018.

Jono then joined Microsoft in 2018 as a Partner Technology Strategist, where they worked until March 2020.

Jono then moved on to DEFEND, where they held several positions including Microsoft Practice Lead from March 2020 to the present, Head of Microsoft from March 2022 to the present, and currently serving as the Microsoft Partner Lead since January 2023.

Jono Green began their education at Auckland Grammar School in 2001, where they studied for one year before transferring to Macleans College in 2002. At Macleans College, they completed their secondary education and graduated in 2003. After completing high school, Jono enrolled in the Computer Power Institute in 2011 to pursue a Diploma in Systems Technology. Jono is currently studying at the institute, without a specified end year.

In addition to their formal education, Jono Green has obtained two certifications. In March 2015, they earned the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) - Office 365 certification from Microsoft. More recently, in November 2022, they obtained the Microsoft Security Immersion Completion Badge from the same institution.
