Kris Brutscher has extensive work experience in various roles within the cybersecurity and technology industry. Currently, they work for DEFEND as the Enterprise Account Manager. Prior to this, Kris worked at Datacom as the Cybersecurity Customer Lead, where they developed strategic relationships with senior security and business stakeholders and built cybersecurity maturity roadmaps. They also held the role of Product Portfolio Lead at MATTR.

Before joining Datacom and MATTR, Kris worked at NTT Ltd. as the Head of Product Development and as a Service Architect. They also worked as a Service Architect (Contract) at Computer Concepts Limited. Additionally, Kris served as a Product Manager for Managed Security at Spark New Zealand and held multiple roles at Datacom, including Product Manager, Service Portfolio Manager, Service Delivery Manager, and Technical Support Analyst.

Kris Brutscher completed a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Information Systems at the University of Canterbury from 2007 to 2011. In addition to this, Kris obtained the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Management from ProActive in June 2012 and became a Certified Scrum Product Owner through the Scrum Alliance in December 2017.
