Marcus Havell

Marcus Havell has a strong background in cyber security and operations. Marcus currently works at DEFEND as a Security Operations Squad Lead, responsible for leading a team in ensuring security measures. Before DEFEND, Marcus was a Cyber Security Engineer at the same company. Prior to that, they worked at InPhySec Security as a Presales Engineer and a Cyber Security Analyst. Marcus also gained experience at Vodafone as a Night Operations Analyst and at PAK'nSAVE as a Coldshelf Assistant.

Marcus Havell obtained a Bachelor of Information Technology degree with a specialization in Information Assurance and Assurance from WelTec, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in the field of cybersecurity. These certifications include: Crowdstrike Certified Falcon Hunter and Crowdstrike Certified Falcon Responder from CrowdStrike, obtained in December 2020 and June 2020 respectively; Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate from Microsoft, obtained in May 2021; Crowdstrike Certified Falcon Administrator from CrowdStrike, obtained in March 2020; and Netskope Cloud Security Integrator and Netskope Cloud Security Administrator from Netskope, obtained in January 2021 and December 2020 respectively.
