Øystein Balstad

Øystein Balstad is a seasoned professional in information security with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Defendable since September 2021, Øystein also holds the position of President and Board Member at Cloud Security Alliance Norway Chapter since February 2023. Øystein has been the Daglig leder at Balstad Holding AS since July 2021 and previously worked at Sykehuspartner HF from March 2019 to September 2021, where roles included Seniorrådgiver Informasjonssikkerhet and an interim Information Security Manager at Sunnaas Sykehus HF. Earlier, Øystein contributed as a Pleieassistent at Lovisenberg Diakonale Sykehus from August 2012 to March 2019. Øystein's educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Forvaltningsinformatikk and a Bachelor's degree in Demokrati og Rettigheter i Informasjonssamfunnet from the University of Oslo, along with an Årsstudium in Samfunnsvitenskap from Volda University College.
