John Codd is a seasoned national security leader with over two decades of experience in the intelligence community and military operations. Having retired from active-duty service in the U.S. Coast Guard in 2024, they now serve as a senior civilian leader at the Defense Intelligence Agency, currently holding the position of Deputy Commander of the Army Strategic Intelligence Brigade. Previously, John was the Chief of Staff for the Navy's Sea-Launched Cruise Missile – Nuclear program, where they oversaw strategic planning and interagency coordination. John has also developed expertise in policy analysis, crisis management, and environmental policy implementation through various leadership roles in the Coast Guard and other federal agencies. They hold a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a master's degree in Public Policy Analysis, with ongoing education in Strategic Foresight.
