Michael Amick

Michael Amick has had a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technical leadership. Michael started their career at the USAF Weapons School as a Graduate in 2015. From there, they joined the United States Air Force, where they held various roles such as Team Lead in SOC/NOC, Software Engineer, and Cyber Security & Software Development Consultant. In 2019, they transitioned to Kessel Run, where they served as a Senior Security/AWS Engineer and later as a Senior Technical Director in CI/CD Orchestration. In 2022, they joined Shadow's Edge Software as a Software Engineer and was subsequently promoted to Technical Director. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Defense Unicorns starting in 2023.

Michael Amick attended the University of Central Florida from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology. Michael then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering at the University of West Florida, from 2014 to 2019.

In terms of additional certifications, Michael obtained the Security+ certification from CompTIA in August 2012. Michael also achieved the Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance in February 2017, as well as the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC Certifications in April 2013.
