Mat B.

Mat B. began their career in 2012 as a Risk Manager at Optiver, where they were responsible for the active development of a suite of tools to provide a dynamic view of position and exposure risks, as well as the design, development and implementation of a new risk framework to monitor HFT specific risks in real-time. In 2014, they moved to Epoch Capital as a Trading Risk Manager. In 2015, they returned to Optiver as a Market Risk & Technology Manager. Finally, in 2018, they became the Head of Product and Co-founder of Deferit.

Mat B. graduated with a double degree in 2008 from Macquarie University, earning a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Studies and a Bachelor of Applied Finance. Their field of study was Actuarial Science.
