Sarah Scott started their work experience in 2000 as a Marketing & Communications Specialist at Terra Nova Trading. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as an English Teacher at Vance High School. Sarah then joined McGraw-Hill and held various roles, including Educational Consultant, Regional Sales Representative, and National Curriculum Specialist from 2010 to 2015. Sarah worked as the Director of Education Partnerships at Discovery Education from 2016 to 2018. Sarah then became the CEO of My Life at Wellness Travel Sabbatical from 2018 to 2019. After that, they worked in Robbins Research International as a Partnerships / Sponsorships from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Sarah is the Vice-President of Partnerships, West at Defined since October 2020.

Sarah Scott graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising. Sarah then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from National Louis University in 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Sarah Scott has obtained several certifications. In April 2019, they became a Certified Yoga Teacher after completing the program at The Practice in Bali, Indonesia. In January 2019, they obtained a certification as a Certified Integrative Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Prior to that, in August 2018, Sarah completed a program called "Executive Well-Being and Leadership for Women" offered by Corporate Women Unleashed.
