Alex Read

Alex Read is a Senior Policy Officer at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, focusing on food chain sustainability and climate risks to the food supply chain since December 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Policy Officer, Director at Seam Editions, and Assistant Manager at Theatre of Wine, demonstrating a diverse skill set in policy development, management, and training within various sectors. Alex also has a background in the specialty coffee industry, having worked at Harris + Hoole in multiple roles, and holds degrees in English and American Literature with Creative Writing from the University of Kent, and a Master of Arts in Writing the Modern World from the University of East Anglia.
