Andrew Mayes MBA MCIPS has extensive work experience in the field of procurement and commercial management. Andrew is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer - Commercial at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since June 2020. Prior to this, Andrew held various positions at Transport for London, starting as a Senior Buyer in 1995 and progressing to Senior Procurement Manager from 2006 to 2012. Andrew then joined the Royal Bank of Scotland as a Sourcing Group Manager from December 2011 to October 2012. Andrew returned to Transport for London as a Senior Commercial Manager, responsible for Business Services, from October 2012 to June 2020. Before their tenure at Transport for London, they worked as a Procurement Manager at Alcoa from 2003 to 2006 and as a Purchasing Manager at Mapeley from 2001 to 2003. Andrew also served as a Purchasing Manager at OpenMobile World Wide Inc. from 2000 to 2001. With their academic qualifications and extensive experience, Andrew Mayes brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the areas of procurement, commercial management, and business services.

Andrew Mayes earned an MBA in Strategy and Procurement Management from the University of Birmingham, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a BA(Hons) in Business from Nottingham Trent University, attending from 1991 to 1994. Andrew also holds a certification in MCIPS from MCIPS institution.
