Bethan Baxter

Bethan Baxter has extensive experience in government roles, particularly within the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, where notable positions included Head of Office and Senior Private Secretary to the Environment Minister and Joint Head of Net Zero Strategy. In these roles, Bethan led initiatives involving water quality, biodiversity, and climate action, and oversaw significant legislative efforts such as the Environment Act 2021. Previous experience also includes leading the EU Exit Negotiations Team focused on Sanitary and Phytosanitary matters. Additionally, Bethan has a background in education as a Biology Tutor and a Level 2 Tennis Coach. Academic credentials comprise a Master of Science in Conservation from UCL and a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, both achieved with distinction.
