Chris Maxwell is an experienced professional with a strong background in evidence and strategy development related to animal health and environmental management. Currently serving as Team Leader for Animal Health at Defra since September 2017, Chris focuses on generating evidence for behavioral change and productivity improvements. Concurrently, Chris has held the position of Senior Evidence Specialist at the Marine Management Organisation since February 2011, where responsibilities include identifying evidence needs and delivering research focused on social and economic aspects. Previously, Chris worked as a Sustainability Appraisal Manager and Regional Strategy Senior Specialist at One NorthEast from April 2006 to April 2011. Chris holds an MSc in Rural Development and Resource Management from Newcastle University and a BSc in Geography from the University of Hull.
