Dan Doherty is the Head of Trees and Forestry Policy at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since September 2020. Prior to this role, Dan served as the Nature Campaign Lead for COP26 at the Cabinet Office and held various positions within the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, including Forestry Policy Lead and Interim Head of International Climate Finance. Dan's experience also includes roles with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Cabinet Office, and the Department of Energy and Climate Change, focusing on climate policy and international relations. Dan holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from King's College London and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Birmingham, alongside early work experience in communications and development.
