David Carlin

David Carlin currently serves as the Lead Marine and Fisheries Scientist at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since November 2021. Prior to this role, David held several key positions at Cefas, including Science Director, Divisional Director, and Group Manager, where leadership involved overseeing a sizeable team of scientists and managing external business development. David also briefly served as Acting Deputy Director for Marine at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in 2020. David holds a Master's degree from Bangor University and a degree in Marine Geography from Cardiff University.
