Hannah Chaplin

Hannah Chaplin is an accomplished economist with a strong background in analytical response and economic analysis within the UK public sector. Currently serving as Deputy Director of Central Analytical Response Improvement and Support at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since May 2017, Hannah previously held the role of Deputy Director of EU Exit and Trade Analysis at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from February 2019 to May 2023. Hannah's earlier experience includes positions as Senior Economist at UK Government Investments from February 2012 to April 2017 and as Economic Advisor at UK Trade & Investment from January 2008 to February 2012. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Imperial College London, a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness Management from the University of London, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Food Sciences from the University of Nottingham.
