Helen Thomas

Helen Thomas is a seasoned programme manager at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), currently leading a large-scale transformation programme focused on the circular economy. With over two decades of experience, Helen has successfully delivered complex projects across various sectors, including a notable role as Project Director for the Department for Education. They have a rich background in project leadership, business change, and stakeholder engagement, complemented by previous positions in both the private and museum sectors. An accredited practitioner for government project delivery and a member of the Association for Project Management, Helen's educational credentials include a PG Cert from Birmingham University and an MA from the University of York.
