James Quitmann

James Quitmann is a British civil servant currently serving as the Head of EU and Europe Bilateral Engagement at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). With a strong background in international strategy and policy delivery, James has held various roles within four government departments, the BBC, and McLaren Automotive. Previously, James led teams on critical projects, including nature protection policy reforms and risk management initiatives. An alumnus of the Civil Service Future Leaders Scheme, James is recognized for providing inclusive and empowering leadership. James holds a First Class Honours degree in Geography from Durham University.
