Joel Murray

Joel Murray is an experienced professional in program management and education, currently serving as the Program Manager at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since June 2018, leading the Project Management Office in overseeing the UK Government's Resources & Waste Strategy. Prior to this role, Joel worked as a Policy Adviser, supporting the delivery of the same strategy following its 2018 publication. With a background in English language teaching, Joel held various positions at the British Council from 2001 to 2018, including Assistant Teaching Centre Manager in the UAE and Senior Teacher in Porto, where responsibilities included managing operations and developing adult courses. Joel’s teaching experience spans multiple countries and educational settings, with a foundational degree in Environmental Science from The University of Salford.
