Deputy Director, Adaptation And Rural Communities

Lee Davies serves as the Deputy Director for Adaptation and Rural Communities at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, leading the UK government's climate adaptation and rural community programs since July 2022. Previous roles include a temporary Deputy Director position overseeing the Climate Division, where responsibilities encompassed climate adaptation, regulation of F-gases, and management of the evidence program for climate initiatives. Lee's extensive background also includes positions at Ely Museum as a Member of the Board of Trustees, and Deputy Director in various capacities across government departments, focusing on health, cross-government policy engagement, air quality, and resource efficiency. Lee holds a PhD in Child Language Psychology from UCL and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from Bangor University.
