Mark Palmer

Mark Palmer is a Churchill Fellowship award recipient for 2025 and currently serves as the Director of Systems4food Ltd, providing advisory services to various clients, including the Soil Association Exchange. With extensive experience in both organic and non-organic food production and processing, they have held positions ranging from Farm Manager to Consultant at notable organizations. Since June 2022, Mark has been involved in developing the UK’s flax industry for fiber and natural dye production and has taken roles on several advisory boards, including DEFRA’s Expert Group on Organic Production. Additionally, they co-founded Homegrown Colour Ltd to produce organic, regeneratively grown dyes for the fashion industry.
