Michael Cotterill has extensive experience in policy advising and research, currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor for International Nature Finance at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since July 2021, having previously held the role of Private Finance for Nature Policy Adviser. Prior experience includes a position as Research Executive at Black Sun from June 2018 to July 2021 and an internship with The Carter Center in the Democracy Program in early 2015. Education includes a Master of Arts in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St Andrews, a Master of Arts in Modern History from Durham University, and participation in the Robert T. Jones Memorial Trust Scholarship program at Emory University.
