Mike Rowe has extensive experience in the public sector, currently serving as the Director of Marine & Fisheries and Director of EU & International Trade at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since September 2000. Roles at Defra have included Deputy Director with a focus on agri-environment schemes and UK farming statistics, as well as responsibilities in rural development, CAP reform, and GM policy. Prior to joining Defra, Mike worked as a Shipping Co-ordinator at Alfred Dunhill and as a Goods Inwards Co-ordinator at Exel. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organisational Behavior from Lancaster University and was educated at Forest School in Winnersh, Berkshire.
