Murray Fyfe

Murray Fyfe is a highly experienced Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since December 2020, focusing on cetacean conservation policies and serving as the UK delegate for the International Whaling Commission. Previous roles include developing policies for seabird and coral conservation as a Policy Advisor and coordinating fisheries science reporting commitments post-Brexit as a Science Monitoring Coordinator. Education includes a Master of Science in Wildlife Biology and Conservation and a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Freshwater Biology from Edinburgh Napier University. Additional experience spans research and administrative roles at institutions such as the University of Cambridge, UNEP-WCMC, and the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology.
