Nancy Race is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in competition policy and economic analysis. Current roles include Senior Economist at Defra since March 2017 and Assistant Director at the Competition and Markets Authority since April 2014. Previous positions include Economic Adviser at the Competition Commission in 2008, Principal Economist at PostComm, Detached National Expert at the European Commission, and various roles at the Office of Fair Trading from 1991 to 2010. Nancy Race holds a Master's degree in Economics from Western University, an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, and an MA in Economics and Management from the University of St Andrews.
