Nick Bagshaw currently serves as the Head of Wildlife Crime and Wildlife Management Policy at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, a position held since February 2017, focusing on the effective implementation of government policies regarding wildlife. Prior to this role, Nick worked as a Senior Policy Adviser within Defra's Chemicals and Pesticides EU Exit Team, contributing to the preparations for the EU Exit. From September 2010 to August 2020, Nick was also a Senior Policy Adviser at the Department for Communities and Local Government, where advisory responsibilities included local government policy and transparency. Earlier in Nick's career, from July 2006 to September 2010, a role as Crime Reduction Adviser at the Government Office for London involved collaboration with key agencies to combat crime in the capital. Additionally, Nick began in local government as a Street Environment Supervisor at Westminster City Council, overseeing a new waste collection service from October 1998 to September 2001.
