Nigel Wilson has extensive experience in public service and crisis management, currently holding the title of Director of Floods, Water and CBRN Emergencies at the Department of Environment and Rural Affairs since February 2016. Previously, Nigel served as the Head of the Government Decontamination Service at Defra and led emergency response initiatives at The Food and Environment Research Agency. With a background that includes roles as Deputy Chief Executive of the Government Decontamination Service and Head of Finance at the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office, Nigel has consistently demonstrated leadership in managing complex programs and strategic financial operations. Nigel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Newcastle University.
