Robert Ashcroft

Robert Ashcroft is currently the Environmental Governance Policy Team Leader at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Previously, they held various roles at the Institution of Environmental Sciences, including Policy and Communities Officer and Publications and Policy Officer, where they promoted the use of environmental science in policymaking. Robert's earlier experience includes serving as a Policy Analyst at the Institute for European Environmental Policy and as Vice President of the European Network of Environmental Professionals. They hold a Master of Science in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Cambridge.
