Robert Cook

Robert Cook is the Head of Domestic Fisheries Science at Defra, where they oversee research and policy related to fisheries. Previously, they held various positions including Lead Marine Habitat Advisor at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Marine Monitoring Officer at the Countryside Council for Wales. Robert also served as a Research Associate at Heriot-Watt University, where they obtained a PhD in Marine Biology focusing on biogenic reef restoration. Their educational background includes a distinction in Marine Environmental Protection and an upper second class honours degree in Applied Marine Biology from Bangor University.
