Sam Dovey

Sam Dovey is currently a stakeholder engagement and communications professional with the Environmental Land Management Team at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since 2020. Previously, Sam worked at the National Farmers' Union from 1999 to 2014, progressing from Assistant Group Secretary to Senior Group Secretary, while also serving as an agent and later as Senior Agent at NFU Mutual. Earlier in their career, Sam held the position of Assistant Clerk at Southern Counties Auctioneers from 1998 to 1999. Sam's educational background includes a Higher National Diploma in Agricultural Production and Management from Sparsholt College Hampshire and several certifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
