Sam Flint is a Senior Spatial Data Scientist at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, currently working in the spatial data science team. Previously, Sam held roles in flood risk management, environmental impact assessment, and hydrological analysis, utilizing GIS skills and hydrological modeling in collaboration with government agencies, local authorities, and water companies. Sam has also demonstrated expertise in developing solutions for technical problems, including creating Shiny web applications. Educationally, Sam earned a degree in Geography from the University of Southampton and a postgraduate degree in River Basin Dynamics and Management with GIS from the University of Leeds.
