Seth Thomas

Seth Thomas is an experienced analyst with a strong background in environmental science and public health. Currently serving as the Lead Analyst for the Secretary of State Delivery Unit at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Seth drives cross-government collaboration on environmental priorities and manages data governance. Previously, as a Senior Analyst at the Office for National Statistics, Seth led a research program analyzing the impact of COVID-19 on disabled populations through advanced statistical methods. Experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Marine Biological Association included leading experimental design and data analysis while simplifying technical data for diverse audiences. Additionally, roles as a Research Assistant at the Scottish Association for Marine Science and volunteer positions at Plymouth University contributed to Seth's expertise in marine biology and environmental impact assessments. Seth holds a PhD in Marine Biogeochemistry from the University of East Anglia and a BSc in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology from the University of Plymouth.
