Stephen Gledhill

Stephen Gledhill is a strategic communications specialist with extensive experience in environmental sectors, particularly in water resources and biodiversity. Currently, Stephen serves as the Communications SIO at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, focusing on operations and local communications for arms-length bodies. Previous roles include Communications Specialist at the Environment Agency, where Stephen led national strategies for agriculture and water resources, and a brief secondment as Senior Strategic Communications Manager at Defra. With a solid foundation in fisheries management, Stephen's career spans various positions within the Environment Agency and the National Rivers Authority, as well as an initial role as a Scientific Officer with the Falkland Islands Government. Stephen holds a Master's Degree in Fisheries Biology and Management from Bangor University and a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Biology from Newcastle University.
