Steve Dawson

Steve Dawson has extensive experience in human resources and talent acquisition across various sectors. Currently serving as Head of HR Systems and Change and Head of Resourcing Policy, Governance and Assurance at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) since December 2009, Steve leads resourcing strategies to support EU Exit recruitment and oversees senior appointments for high-potential leadership talent. Previous roles include Group Recruitment Manager at Arla Foods, where responsibilities included enhancing the employer brand, and Recruitment Manager at Corus and Sainsbury's, focusing on implementing recruitment best practices and managing substantial recruitment projects. Steve holds a Master's degree in HR and Employment Studies from London Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Liverpool John Moores University.
