Tim Lowe

Tim Lowe is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in procurement and environmental management. Currently serving as a Commercial Manager at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since April 2022, Tim is responsible for strategic procurement activities and commercial assurance within the Defra Group Commercial and the SCAH Programme. In addition, Tim has been an Assessor for the CIPS Corporate Award Programme since July 2019, where duties include marking assignments and providing feedback. Tim previously held the position of Head of Procurement at WWF-UK, managing a team in a decentralized procurement environment, and served as a Senior Policy Officer at Woking Borough Council, focusing on procurement strategy and contract management. Early career experience includes a consultancy role at Business Eco Group, where environmental reviews were conducted for ISO 14001 compliance. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Kingston University and diplomas in Management Studies and Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions and Contracts Management.
