Manager, Entrepreneurship Programs at Defy Ventures

Christopher Harrison is the current Manager of Entrepreneurship Programs at Defy Ventures. Prior to this, they were an Adjunct Lecturer at San Francisco State University from November 2014 to May 2015, where they instructed a course in Non-profit personnel management for MPA graduate students. From January 2013 to March 2015, Harrison was the Program Director at Leaders in Community Alternatives, where they oversaw the programmatic operations of the Community Assessment and Services Center (CASC), a "one-stop" adult re-entry center that provided a broad array of services to clients under the supervision of the San Francisco Adult Probation. Services included comprehensive case management, substance abuse education, mental health, personal development, education, parenting, and vocational training. Harrison managed a staff of ten along with numerous on-site partner agencies to create a strong continuum of care. From May 2005 to December 2012, Harrison was the Director of Confinement Alternatives and Diversion at the Center for Court Innovation.

After completing their undergraduate degree at Franklin & Marshall College, Christopher Harrison pursued a Master of Arts in Social Work and Public Policy from New York University.
