Uwe Körting

Uwe K. serves as the Director General for Operational Cyber Security at the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) since 2025, leading national coordination of cyber crisis management and incident response. Previously, Uwe held the position of Head of Group Risk Management at Financial Market Infrastructure from 2017 to 2025, transforming risk governance and overseeing IT and cyber risks across Europe. Uwe has also contributed to Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives and served as a professor in Project Management at IÉSEG School of Management in 2023-2024. With a robust background in senior risk and security roles within the financial services sector and consulting experience on risk governance, Uwe has built frameworks for operational resilience and compliance transformation. Uwe's educational credentials include degrees from notable institutions such as INSEAD, Middlesex University, the University of Portsmouth, and the University of Chichester.
