Xavier Valero

Xavier Valero has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Xavier is currently the Director of Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Analytics at DEKRA since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at DEKRA DIGITAL as the Head of Applied AI from March 2021 to December 2022. From 2014 to 2021, Xavier held various positions at NDT Global, including Head of Big Data & AI and Team Leader of Data Science. Xavier started their career as a Researcher and Machine Learning Engineer at La Salle BCN from 2011 to 2014, where they also served as a Project Manager. Xavier's earlier experiences include working as a Business Analyst at CaixaBank in 2010, a Project Manager at Orange Business Services in 2008, a Researcher and Data Scientist at the European Commission, Joint Research Centre from 2007 to 2008, and a Project Engineer and Project Manager Intern at Transferencia de Tecnologia La Salle from 2005 to 2007.

Xavier Valero completed their education at La Salle BCN. Xavier obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in AI and Data Processing from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Project Management from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Telecommunication Engineering from 2006 to 2009. Xavier's earlier education includes a focus on Telecommunication Engineering, with a major in Image and Sound, from 2002 to 2006.
