Joost Smit

Joost Smit is an experienced freelance lichttechnicus and theater technician with a diverse background in various technical roles within the performing arts sector. Since March 2016, Joost has been working at Ampco Flashlight Rental B.V. and has held multiple positions, including freelance technical support at Het Muziektheater Amsterdam and allround theater techniek at DeLaMar Theater. Joost also has extensive experience as a stagemanager and lichtontwerper at Concertgebouw. In addition to these roles, Joost has been the owner and director of De TheaterCombinatie since March 2006, and has also served as AV manager at Amsterdam Conference Centre Beurs van Berlage and focused on theater technology and safety at Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Other notable positions include stage manager, fly operator, and light designer at Theater Spant!, as well as allround theater technician specializing in track walls at Koninklijk Theater Carré. Joost's earlier experience includes serving as project leader and head of internal services at Zaans Museum. Joost is an alumnus of HAN University of Applied Sciences.
