Previously, they served in high-level positions such as Chief Administrative Officer at the California State Controller's Office and Chief Financial Officer at Covered California, where they played pivotal roles in significant budget management and policy implementations. Lombard's tenure includes oversight of statewide payroll and disbursement systems, as well as involvement in major transformation initiatives like the 21st Century Project and Fi$Cal. Jim now combines their extensive public sector experience with part-time work as a fly fishing instructor at Orvis, sharing their passion for the outdoors.
