Laurel M.

Laurel M. is a seasoned bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in both research and clinical settings. Currently serving as a Staff Bioinformatics Scientist at Delfi Diagnostics since February 2021, Laurel M. previously held roles at Personal Genome Diagnostics from May 2016 to February 2021, including Scientist and Lead Genomic Analyst, where analytical methods for sample quality evaluation and sequencing mutation detection were developed. Earlier experience includes positions as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Peer Tutor at the UNC Biology Department, along with roles as an Afterschool Counselor and Summer Camp Counselor at the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. Laurel M. holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
