Aaron de Windt has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Aaron is currently working at Delft Circuits as a Software Engineer & IT Manager. Prior to this, they worked at Dawn Aerospace as a GNC and Software Engineer, where they developed control algorithms and firmware for a small satellite propulsion system. Aaron also developed aircraft system identification tools and assisted with the development of aircraft flight control software. Before Dawn Aerospace, Aaron worked at Airborne as a Software Engineer.
Earlier in their career, Aaron worked at Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering in various roles. Aaron served as the Secretary Executive Safety Board and later as the Chief Simulations Stratos III. In the latter role, they were responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of simulation tools for the Stratos III rocket.
Aaron also had an internship at Dawn Aerospace as a Control Engineering Intern, where they gained experience in control engineering. Additionally, they co-founded and led the Advanced Control Team (ACT) at Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering. In this role, they were responsible for developing an active stabilization and guidance system for a rocket. Aaron also served as the Flight Dynamics Officer for the Stratos II and Stratos II+ rocket projects, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of simulation tools.
Aaron de Windt pursued their Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology. Aaron attended this institution from 2011 to 2015.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Aaron continued their education at the Delft University of Technology. Aaron pursued a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering, beginning in 2015. This program will conclude in 2023.
