Darrell Leong

Darrell Leong, PhD, CFA, currently serves as a Senior Payment & Credit Risk Analyst at Delivery Hero since July 2022. Previously, Leong was a Data Scientist at Yara International from April 2021 to July 2022, where expertise in unsupervised learning algorithms and machine learning was utilized for crop cycle monitoring and agronomic advisory automation, as well as predictive assessments for credit loans. Prior to that, Leong worked as a Junior Data Scientist at 360F, developing an advisory engine for financial products based on behavioral economics. Leong's career began as a Research Engineer at Lloyd's Register from April 2015 to April 2020, focusing on probabilistic risk analysis, cloud solution deployment, and novel statistical models for real-time monitoring of extreme events. Leong obtained a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.
