Daniel Docter

MD, Dell Technologies Capital at Dell Technologies

Daniel Docter is the Managing Director of Dell Technologies Capital. Daniel has over 20 years of experience in venture capital and investment banking.

Docter began their career as a Post-Doc and RA at Bell Laboratories. Daniel then went on to work as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, before joining Intel Capital as a Director. At Intel, Docter was responsible for sourcing and managing minority equity investments in privately held technology companies.

In 2013, Docter joined EMC Ventures as Managing Director. EMC Ventures is the strategic venture capital group for EMC Corporation and its operating units (EMC, VMware, RSA Security, Pivotal). Docter spent three years at EMC before moving to their current role at Dell Technologies Capital.

Daniel Docter received their Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Bradford. Daniel also holds a BSEE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Daniel Docter works with Deepak Jeevankumar - Managing Director, Dell Technologies Capital, Ronda Scott - Head of Marketing & Communications, Dell Technologies Capital, and Dan Fitzpatrick - Principal, Business Development - Dell Technologies Capital. Daniel Docter reports to Scott Darling, President, Dell Technologies Capital.
