Mohammad Alavirad

Mohammad Alavirad is an accomplished Photonics Research Lead at Dell Technologies, where they focus on advancing optical computing for next-generation AI infrastructure. With over 10 years of experience, they have contributed to the Global Office of the CTO by driving innovation in scalable AI architectures and leading research initiatives in Co-Packaged Optics and Optical Circuit Switching. Prior to Dell, Mohammad held positions at RANOVUS Inc., Viavi Solutions, and Ciena, specializing in optical hardware and system engineering. They earned a Ph.D. in Optical Communications from Carleton University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology, respectively.
