Rick Scherer

Rick Scherer is an accomplished technology leader with over two decades of experience in enterprise architecture and technical leadership. Currently serving as the Chief Enterprise Architect and Field CTO for the Western US at Dell Technologies since January 2010, Scherer has previously held the role of Principal Sales Engineer at VMware. Prior to joining Dell, Scherer was the Chief Technical Architect for the City of San Diego from August 2000 to January 2010. In addition, Scherer founded VMwareTips.com in September 2008, where contributions as an author were made. Educational qualifications include studies at Mt. San Jacinto College.
