Tim Shaw

Tim Shaw, P.E. has extensive experience in mechanical engineering and system architecture, with significant roles at leading technology companies. At Dell from April 2016 to August 2019, Tim served as Technical Staff, Senior Principal Engineer, and Director of System Architecture for IEP Innovation Programs. Prior to that, from March 2011 to March 2014 at Microsoft, Tim was the Senior Mechanical Engineer for Surface Accessories, leading the mechanical architecture for various Surface tablet accessory products, resulting in over 20 patent filings. Tim's career began at Xerox Corporation from August 2002 to March 2011 as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, where responsibilities included designing electro-mechanical systems for Solid Ink printers and managing prototype designs. Tim's early experience includes a position as Mechanical Engineer at Applied Science Fiction from June 1999 to July 2002, focusing on the electro-mechanical design of film transportation systems.
