Ty Schmitt

Ty Schmitt is a Vice President and Fellow at Dell Technologies, specializing in the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) CTIO organization. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and 34 years of experience, Ty has expertise in manufacturing, IT hardware, thermal and acoustical design, and engineering management. Ty began their career at Dell in 1993, serving as lead mechanical architect for the company’s first enterprise servers and later co-founding the Data Center Solutions organization. Since 2013, Ty has held the position of Vice President and Fellow, focusing on data center technology and sustainability strategy while leading initiatives that enhance customer success.
