Joel Beharry has extensive experience in the actuarial field, beginning with a role as a Consultant at Eckler Ltd. from September 2004 to August 2011, where expertise was provided on pension and post-retirement benefit plan design and management. From August 2011 to October 2012, Joel held positions as Manager and Associate Actuary, and later Director and Actuary in Group Finance Actuarial at Manulife, leading company-wide consolidation of Embedded Value and managing actuarial liability hedge exposures. Following this, Joel worked as a Consulting Actuary for AT6 Innovate from January 2020 to November 2021 and joined Deloitte in November 2021 as a Senior Advisor, focusing on technology solutions and actuarial advisory. Additionally, Joel co-founded Flown Technology Inc. in November 2018, taking on the role of CEO, while contributing to product development and actuarial aspects. Joel holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto.
