David Marek

David Marek is the Chief Economist and Director at Deloitte Czech Republic, where they lead an analytical team and focus on economic and financial analyses, econometrics, statistics, and modeling. Previously, they served as Chief Economist at Patria Finance from 2000 to 2014, as an economist at the Czech National Bank from 1998 to 1999, and worked as an analyst at Česká spořitelna during 1999. David holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics from the Institute of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, where they studied from 1995 to 2007; they also attended the University of Limerick for a brief period in 1998.
