Denise Canavan

Denise Canavan is the Global Independence Leader at Deloitte, bringing over a decade of experience in auditor independence. They possess extensive knowledge of regulatory bodies such as the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Previously, Denise worked at Philip Morris International as a Manager in Financial Planning and Analysis and served in various roles at Deloitte, including Partner and Managing Director of Global Independence. Additionally, they contributed as a Technical Advisor for the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants from 2016 to 2020. Denise holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Boston College and an MBA in Finance and International Business from NYU Stern School of Business.
